A January of Prayer
| 22 January 2024
Good morning sweet friend! It’s 9:15 am now and I’ve just finished up prayer and Bible time. Todays prayers were of thankfulness. Thanking God for carrying us through yesterday and for being our strength. I’m so thankful for Him and for all He has done for us.
This morning I was in the psalms and I wanted to share one that really encouraged me today!
Psalm 111
Today was a good cleaning day. I did some tidying up downstairs and tomorrow I’m hoping to get more cleaning done in my room and do some book organization.
Today I got to get a good workout in which I haven’t really been able to do since I got sick. I’m so glad to be getting better! It’s such an answer to prayer! Yes, I’m still a bit run down and tied and after yesterday my eyes are a bit burning and blurry and I feel drained but otherwise I’m feeling a lot better.
I also got to have a good conversation with my parents about something that we all have been feeling and it’s now a family prayer.
I got some good brainstorming and planning in with my mom on some projects I’m really excited about!!!
Today has been good. Chill and quiet.
Now it’s raining. The rain pitter patters on the ground and against my bedroom window.
It’s night now so I think I’ll sign off! I’ll chat soon!
Question: is there a place in scripture that’s been encouraging you?

I’m so glad that you’re feeling better! 🥰 And there’s so many verses that have been encouraging me lately!
ReplyDeleteFor one, there’s Psalm 126:6 “Though one goes along weeping, carrying the bag of seed, he will surely come back with shouts of joy, carrying his sheaves.” I loved the hymn that went to this verse when I was younger!
Also, one thing I like to think about sometimes is since Psalm 34:18 tells us, “The Lord is near the broken-hearted…” that means that when you're hurting, he’s close. (Not that He isn’t close at other times) But He has compassion on you and pays special attention to your suffering.
And last, I recently discovered the song Love Never Fails by Brandon Heath, and it’s based off of 1st Corinthians 13. And since 1st John 4:16 tells us, “God is love…” I like to replace the word love in the song with God and that also has been immensely comforting!
I’m praying for you and your family during this time! 🤍 And I hope these verses and the song are an encouragement to you. Keep on pressing into Jesus, and if you ever wanna chat more, feel free to shoot me an email! 🥰🥰🥰
