A January of Prayer

| 09 January 2024

Good morning dear!

Snow still covers the ground but sunlight pours through my bedroom window and lights up the room in soft light. Everything outside is light. The trees are opening up like an umbrella, shaking off the snow from their branches and holding their needles out high.

Today’s prayers were for healing and to not get sick—sickness has entered the house and it has a trend of domino-ing into each family member one at a time and we can be sick for a month or more, personally I really don’t want to be sick so we are praying for healing and for the sickness not to pass to us. I also was praying for God to lead me in the right direction concerning publishing and writing. I’m working on that path right now and am just waiting to hear results. Im going to trust God with whatever happens. I know He has a plan. I know His way is best. Im going to trust Him no matter what happens.

24This disciple is the one who testifies to these events and has recorded them here. And we know that his account of these things is accurate.
25Jesus also did many other things. If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written
—John 21:24-25

^ This is one of my FAVORITE verses in the whole Bible!

10A single day in your courts
is better than a thousand anywhere else!
I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God
than live the good life in the homes of the wicked.
11For the Lord God is our sun and our shield.
He gives us grace and glory.
The Lord will withhold no good thing
from those who do what is right.
12Lord of Heaven’s Armies,
what joy for those who trust in you.
—Psalm 84:10-12

8I listen carefully to what God the Lord is saying,
for he speaks peace to his faithful people.
But let them not return to their foolish ways.
—Psalm 85:8

10Unfailing love and truth have met together.
Righteousness and peace have kissed!
11Truth springs up from the earth,
and righteousness smiles down from heaven.
12Yes, the Lord pours down his blessings.
Our land will yield its bountiful harvest.
13Righteousness goes as a herald before him,
preparing the way for his steps.
—Psalm 85:10-13

Today was a good productive day! I edited 2 and 1/2 chapters in A Hawaiian Summer and am working on making some fun freebies for my newsletter subscribers! I really need to start doing emails again but I’m not sure when. Hopefully in the next week or so. I also want to minimize my newsletters because I know I can make them huge and go a bit overboard so I want to scale back a bit and I feel like that will help me stay consistent!

What I read…

  • Psalm 84
  • Psalm 85
  • John 21 — finished!

Previous days…

God bless us, every one

If you think to pray for me and my family I will be forever grateful! If you have a prayer request or need please comment and let me know!
Goodnight! <3

Love,

  1. Hi Moriyah!
I didn't know you were still posting here!! If it's not too much work, I do hope you are able to put these posts out in your newsletter, so I don't miss them! I've loved the bits I've read of what you've published here in the last few months, and it's made me realize how much I missed your beautiful words and inspiring faith! I did reply to that one email you sent through your newsletter back in October, I don't know if you ever saw it.
I can't wait to see what else you post here, you're doing wonderfully! <3<3 : )
