January Showers…
Drip, drip, dropLittle January showerBeating a tuneAs you fall all aroundDrip, drip, dropLittle January showerWhat can compareTo your beautiful soundDrip, drip, drop
Okay, I know these aren’t all the right words but I’ve had this song “little April showers” from Bambi stuck in my head since yesterday and the word change from April to January works for me right now. XD
Yesterday, in the glowing sun of the afternoon, the trees shook their branches and little drip drip drops of melted snow fell sparkling from the pine needles through the air and to the ground. The warm golden light from the sun shone through the trees turning the green to golden and lighting up the melted snow drops. The drops like little sparkling diamonds clinging to the green. The song got stuck in my head.
Today I am thankful for God’s word. For it being a living book. It’s the only book I can read every single day for years and still find new things I never realized or noticed before. New things are highlighted and rediscovered. It’s the only book I’ve ever known to do that. Of course it does, it’s God’s word. Jesus in pages. The Holy Spirit moving through the words to touch us. A living book.
Today, I was reading in John and some verses really encouraged me which I want to share now with you today!
9 “My prayer is not for the world, but for those you have given me, because they belong to you. 10All who are mine belong to you, and you have given them to me, so they bring me glory. 11Now I am departing from the world; they are staying in this world, but I am coming to you. Holy Father, you have given me your name; now protect them by the power of your name so that they will be united just as we are.
—John 17:9-11
Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!
—John 17:24
I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.
—John 17:26
I also just released a NEW podcast episode for you all to listen to! It’s me reflecting doing 21 days of prayer, announcing this challenge, and talking about grandpa + announcing the title for my novelette I’ll be releasing someday. Hopefully within the next few months (my tentative goal is March).

Yesterday, I finished watching the Masterpiece BBC Little Women mini series 2017 with my sister! It was amazing and is now a FAVORITE of mine! It’s so comforting and sweet and was just what I needed to watch in this time. I highly recommend watching!
If you love Little Women, sister bonds, nature, beauty cinematography, motherhood, sweet music, Christmas, summer, real feeling stories, relatable characters, period dramas, dresses, simple life, and friendship. If you want a series where you fall in love with Mr. Bhaer and Jo together, Beth has more story and character development, a more intimate look as Meg goes through motherhood, Amy having great personal growth and maturity, and you see more behind the scenes sort of stories…then you will LOVE LOVE this mini series!
I’m planning on doing a review of it on my podcast soon! Also, it’s totally influenced my writing going forward—I see it already in The Noble Oath—and has influenced some of the new embellishments on my blog (the “page breaks”)! This is quite random but I wanted to share with you all!
I’ll chat with you soon!
