 21 days of prayer | praying in the new year & traveling through loss 

Day 17 of 21 Days of Prayer 

| 29 December 2023 

Today, my prayer is for the truth. For truth to come out and be revealed. For truth to come and set free. For God’s light to shine upon this situation and bring truth out to the open. For us all to walk in the light—in God. This is my prayer today. 

Jesus replied, “My light will shine for you just a little longer. Walk in the light while you can, so the darkness will not overtake you. Those who walk in the darkness cannot see where they are going.  36Put your trust in the light while there is still time; then you will become children of the light.” —John 12:35-36

Show me the right path, O Lord;
point out the road for me to follow.
5Lead me by your truth and teach me,
for you are the God who saves me.
All day long I put my hope in you.
—Psalm 25:4-5

“Father, thank you for hearing me.  You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me.” 
—John 12:41-42

9You are my strength; I wait for you to rescue me,

He will let me look down in triumph on all my enemies.

16But as for me, I will sing about your power.
Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love.

Later…9:55 pm 

I feel like today, God has given me answers. 

I was praying for answers and truth to be revealed, and yes, I’m still looking for that in the situation we are in but at the same time I think God have revealed to me an important fact and answer. I can’t say what it is. That’s not my place. All I can say is that I am thankful! I am thankful to have this answer and this new perspective on what is going on. I’m thankful to have some understanding to continue on in kindness and compassion and understanding. I’m thankful God lead me in the right direction, gave me the right questions to seek out, and that he had been in a way preparing me for this in past research and studies I’ve done (I’m aware this sounds kinda odd, XD). 

Anyways, I thought I’d share this exciting piece of information before posting this blog post for today. I love seeing how God works and seeing how even today after praying and discussing this prayer of mine with you all that it is actually being answered and coming to fruition even in the same day! It’s such a praise and an answer to prayer! I’m so so so grateful and thankful God has answered and given me this new understanding so fast! I’m truly so so grateful! 

Thank you Father for hearing and answering my prayer! Thank you! 

I am also so thankful that I read John 12 today! In that chapter Jesus prayed this prayer that I really love and was really inspiring to me today and that was my hope in todays prayer. He really did answer and listen! I’m so thankful! <3
