Tessa & Weston: The Best Christmas Ever by Abbie Emmons a bookish review
Tessa & Weston: The Best Christmas Ever by Abbie Emmons a bookish review
“There’s nothing more magical than the first snow—especially when it happens while you are sleeping.” —Abbie Emmons
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Cleanness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tessa & Weston: The Best Christmas Ever *wow that was a mouthful* is a super cute sweet Christmas story perfect for the holidays! I love the Christmas vibes and all the holiday activities sprinkled all throughout this holiday book. This was the perfect sequel to 100 Days Of Sunlight 100 Days Of Sunlight by Abbie Emmons! As with 100 Days, make sure to check my clean guide at the end because I have some notes.
As with the last book, Weston is my favorite character! I loved seeing his interaction with his siblings and he is just a sweetheart! Weston, sweetheart, is a disabled character and I love his representation. If you’ve been around my blog for the past month then you know why from this alone I love Weston’s character.
If you haven’t been around then this post is why: Outlining A Winter Story
I did like Tessa’s story of fixing her broken relationship with her mother (I love a good forgiveness story), though she didn’t want to at first. Their mother-daughter relationship reminds me of the book I wrote this autumn (which is a bonus)!
Both Tessa & Weston are flawed characters and it was interesting seeing them have arguments and have to work it out and forgive each other. It brought a level of realness to their story that I really appreciated. I liked how it wasn't a perfect relationship and they had to (in a sense) fight for each other. I thought that was very well written!
This was a super cute and kinda cheesy story at times! I could totally see this becoming a hallmark Christmas movie! XD
All in all, this was a super cute story and I will definitely be reading this again next Christmas.

*Cleanness: there is a bit of cursing in this book (though thankfully less than 100 Days). H—, S—, D—, etc. There is also talk of making “mistakes” in a relationship. Tessa worries if what happened to her mom (being a teenager and getting intimate before marriage) will happen between her and Weston. Nothing actually happens but it is a worry that Tessa brings up.
Besides these few notes, this is a clean book (far cleaner than 100 Days).
The author, Abbie Emmons, also provided a parent guide of her book if you want to look over exactly what is in her book: content guide
