Intro To Lifestyle

 Lifestyle

Hello, wonderful reader!

Welcome to Fable Rose! My name is Moriyah, and in this post, I will be talking about Lifestyle. Primarily, a healthy lifestyle that encourages and supports a healthy mindset that likewise creates the ability to create and pursue your dreams and goals!

This is important to me that I have been learning and am currently learning about.* It is incredible how our bodies work and how what we do to our bodies affects our mindset and capabilities.

Having a healthy mental space means having the energy and ability to go after your dreams, the clarity of mind to act and bring your dreams to life, and overall health to keep going and creating. This is what we are going to be talking about.

Here is the breakdown:

Taking care of our bodies = a healthy body = a healthy mindset = the ability to pursue your dreams and goals effectively.

*I am not a professional in this area but I have been helped in this area and I want to help you.

Let’s get started!

Unsure or don’t believe the connection? Here is the connection following my three main points of lifestyle. Sleep, Nutrition (eating), and Exercise.

Note that I will be going more in-depth into all of these areas. I don’t want to overload you with everything upfront. Let’s start small and build from there.

There are more things and points, but I want to start by focusing on these 3 parts.

1. Sleep

Sleeping well equals feeling well-rested, having a clear mind, feeling awake, and having the energy to go through the day. Without sleep equals being tired, having a foggy brain (forgetful), and having no energy (dragging through the day).

There are so many benefits to sleeping well. It’s incredible. Sleep is not only good for resting your body, it also helps with your immune system, heart health, mood, memory, energy, and so much more!

Find out how much sleep your body needs. It’s a good rule of thumb to shoot for about 8 hours of sleep. Though everyone is different and has their own needs particular to their body. It’s not a one-size-fits-all though this can be a good starting point.

2. Nutrition (eating)

Nutrition, aka eating well  with 3 meals + healthy snacks, means you will have energy, your body won’t be in starvation mode, and you will feel happy and be in better moods. Without eating well (tones of junk food/skipping eating) means having a lack of energy, your body will be trapped in starvation mode, and you will feel grumpy and be in less than positive moods.

It’s important to feed your body with nutrient-rich foods. You want things that will support you and your body’s systems going into your body. It is also important to be eating 3 meals a day with healthy snacks.

Having good nutrition with a balanced diet can help ensure your body is getting all the nutrients it needs, it helps with the immune system, helps balance hormones (something I can personally see).

It can also improve emotions. THIS WAS A BIG THING FOR ME. I can have low blood sugar, which means I need good foods to balance my blood sugar and keep me at a stable place. Without eating 3 meals a day and at least one snack my blood sugars go down and I get grumpy, tired, fatigued, and am just not that fun to be around. Once I started making sure I was eating consistently (doing the timer challenge, which I will speak on more later) my blood sugar leveled out and likewise so did my moods. It is incredible, I feel so much better and happier now being consistent in eating in this way.

I will be going into all of this with resources in a later post.

3. Exercise

Exercising well is good not only for losing weight or getting toned. Exercising well is also good for your body’s functions and well everything. Exercising gives you energy, it can give you positive feelings (a chemical reaction called endorphins are released in your brain).* It can also help with sleep, your mentality, and your overall health.**

More than anything, I use my exercise time as a way to help me mentally. It is the one time of day I have fully to myself where I don’t have to do anything other than listen to music and take care of my body. It is now one of my absolute favorite things to do.

You don’t have to go crazy. FIND OUT WHAT WORKS FOR YOUR BODY. You can go running, do biking, weights, karate, or do simpler things. Do yoga, take a short walk, swim. Get your body moving. I think that is most important. Get up, and get moving. It can be big or small, how much or how long, these are not the main point. What matters is taking care of your body, listening to its needs, and acting on that.

*I love brain science!

Why This Matters To Me.

Before we move on, I wanted to share a bit about myself and my Lifestyle. Why does this matter to me?  I am currently on a health journey for myself, learning how to best help and support my body.

Last week I went to the nutritionist to find out some things about my health. I fully recommend going to a nutritionist. It is incredible what they do and how they test things (no needles or anything). Back to my story, I have hormonal imbalances, something I have had since I was 10. I won’t go into everything because then I might go on forever, but I am learning how to best support my body and balance my hormones. In balancing this, I will balance my whole body.

But this journey of mine started years ago. It really started when my family and I moved to Hawaii for half a year before moving back to the mainland almost three years ago. In Hawaii, I started my health journey and it has only grown in importance to me.

I’m still figuring all of this out. But I want to bring you along with me on my own journey and help you with yours.

Lifestyle and taking care of your body is key to a healthy mindset and for the energy and clarity of mind TO PURSUE YOUR DREAMS.

I know this from personal experience. I would not have been able to write an entire book in 30 days if not for taking care of my body in this way. Getting good sleep, eating consistently and putting good foods in your body, and exercising. I am a living testament to this.

Encouragement

I encourage you to listen to your body and find out how to help it. Know yourself and your body’s needs. Do you need a certain amount of sleep to feel good throughout the day? Do that! Make sure you are eating well, 3 meals a day + snacks, but make sure it is not all processed or fast foods. Those will not help in the way I am talking about. Get up and move your body. Even if only for a few minutes. Move your body, walk around, do something!

I want the best for you, which means taking care of yourself and your body. I want you to pursue your dreams and goals, the things burning in your chest. To do these callings effectively you will need a good mental space, to have a good mental space you need to take care of your body.

Lifestyle is the key to having a mental space. This is my big focus area in these Lifestyle posts. With a healthy lifestyle and mindset you can do anything and everything!

I will be talking more about mentality and things to help but as of this moment, I want to help in these three areas and work from there.
