A Behold Peace Bible Challenge 

Hello friend! Welcome to Behold Peace! My name is Moriyah and I am a Christian, writer, podcaster, blogger and the host of this Bible Study. 

I am so excited to announce that I am starting a new Bible study called Read The Bible In 30 Days with me! Now you may look at the title and think “WHAT? THERE IS NO WAY!” And I am here to tell you that, “YES!!! THERE ABSOLUTELY IS A WAY!!” Is this a crazy challenge? Yes. Will we complete it? Only by trying and giving our best will we find out! 

The Purpose Behind This Study & Challenge 

How do you know God? 

How do you get a relationship with God?

How do you become more like Jesus in your daily life? 

Are you looking for direction on what to do? 

Are you wanting to draw closer to God? 

Are you needing strength?

Are you needing comfort?

Do you want to find true peace and joy? 

All these questions and more are answered in one book. THE BIBLE. It is the BEST POSSIBLE place to go when you are in need, asking a question, looking for advice, needing strength, needing direction, looking for creativity, looking for purpose and more. 

Go to God. RUN TO HIM! 

How To Build A Relationship With God 

Now let's focus on the question: how to have a relationship with God? Here is a question. How do you build a relationship with your sibling or best friend? You would talk to them. You would spend time with them. You would spend as much time as you can with them (or if they are your sibling then you might be living with them for YEARS *laughing*). You would want to know who they are, what they like, what they don’t like, what brings them joy, what makes them angry and more. You spend time getting to know them. 

Your relationship with God can be the same. 

Get to know Him. What does He like? What doesn’t He like? Who is God? What is His heart? 

You can find all this out through 3 ways. 

READ THE BIBLE which is God’s Word who is Jesus. Think about that. If Jesus is called the Word of Life and the Bible is God’s Word then doesn’t that basically mean that the Word of God (the Bible) is basically Jesus? So you want to know God and you want to be more like Jesus? Read the Bible!!! 

PRAY & WORSHIP. Prayer and worship are the ways we get to talk to God. They are how we get to worship him and communicate with him. We can cry out to Him and tell Him all our worries. We can thank Him and remember all the wonders He has done for us in our own lives. We can ask for help and wisdom and guidance and strength and whatever else we need. This is how we talk to Him. 

THE HOLY SPIRIT. This is how God talks to us, through the Holy Spirit. He (for He is a he) can speak to us in many ways. He can speak to us most often I think through His word—the Bible (this is why it is so so important to be reading the Bible consistently every single day). He can speak to us through other people and believers. He can speak to us through a song. He can speak to us through our parents and pastors and leaders of faith. He can speak to us through dreams and visions. He can speak to us with gut feelings. There are many ways He can speak to us BUT you must have the heart and mind and ears willing to listen to Him AND obey Him in what He says. How do you get ears sensitive to His voice? You read His Bible (LOTS of it), you spend time in prayer, you give Him time and you don’t rush Him, you humble yourself, and you wait. Many times we will wait and we must learn to be patient. God is never late. He is always on time. He has a plan for us. Trust Him and trust in His plan and timing! Wait for Him. Read His word and pray. Spend time with Him! It will change your life! 

Jeremiah 29:11 

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord…” 

This is my heart in doing the Read The Bible in 30 Days challenge!
