Happy Easter Sunday

The Real Reason For This Day

Happy Easter friends!

It’s so lovely to see you this wonderful morning!

JESUS IS ALIVE!!!

He has fought and conquered sin and death and we have the wonderful gift and blessing of freedom and eternal life with God! In Him we have salvation and eternal life! Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice, died and suffered and was separated from God—His Father—to make a way to save us. He defeated death and made a way for us to have a personal relationship and connection with God the Father. It’s absolutely incredible and so humbling. He loves us THAT MUCH that He would sacrifice his son (all powerful God who created EVERYTHING) to save us, His beloved children.

I’m SO thankful for Him!

I would not have the life I have now without Him. I would have no life at all. I owe Him everything. All I have is His.

Praise the Lord for His love and mercy! Praise the Lord for He is good! Praise Him our Lord and King and Savior! Praise the Lord!

I urge you this Easter to remember this, the real reason for this day and holiday, especially this year. Today is not about bunnies, chocolates, good food, spring dresses, baskets, or colored eggs. Today is about Jesus and how He saved OUR LIVES!

After the sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And suddenly there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord, descending from heaven, came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. For fear of him the guards shook and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has been raised from the dead, and indeed he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him.’ This is my message for you.” So they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”

—Matthew 28:1-10

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

—Matthew 28:18-20

God has an invitation for you. An invitation to be saved, freed from this world, freed from your sin and to live with him forever in eternity—to have everlasting life with the Father. .

“I told you that you would die in your sins, for you will die in your sins unless you believe that I am he.”

—John 8:24

In this verse Jesus is speaking to the Pharisees and telling them how they will die unless they believe in Him—in Jesus Christ. If you believe in Jesus you will “have eternal life” in Him. You will be saved.

The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’

And let everyone who hears say, ‘Come.’

And let everyone who is thirsty come.

Let anyone who wishes to take the water of life as a gift.”

—Revelation 22:17

He has saved us, redeemed us. He sacrificed his life to save YOURS. He loves you so much and is offering you life—true lasting life and identity and calling—in Him. Will you take it? Will you accept this invitation? Will you give your life to God? Do you believe in him? If not, are you ready to? Are you ready to be with God for eternity?

“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 10:9

Receive the freedom He is offering you. Let Him come into your life and heart. He has a plan for you, an amazing life story just for you. He is the master storyteller, the Author of life. Will you give Him your life?

I’m not promising it will be easy. It won’t. I know this for a fact. My life has not been perfect, it’s been hard and painful but with JESUS at the center of my life it has all been worth it. He has healed me and redeemed me in so many ways. He has saved my life, truly. He has never left me. He has always been with me even in the hardest and worst seasons of my life. He will be that for you! He is here for you! Loving you! Waiting for you to take that step and accept Jesus into your heart and be adopted as His child. You will not regret following Him, truly following Him.

BELIEVE IN HIM.

I encourage you if are a new Christian, one for many years, have walked away and are making your way home, have just accepted Jesus into your heart or haven’t yet, I encourage you to watch this video by Billy Graham. There is a prayer near the end of the video I think is really important and powerful and I just encourage you to watch with an open heart and mind!

The video:

Happy Easter friend!

The Lord  bless you and keep you;

The Lord  make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.”

Numbers 6:24-26

If you have a prayer request, please let me know! I would love to pray for you!

Love,

Moriyah
